Kristin Trinity Allen is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Labor and Employment practice group in the firm’s San Diego office. Kristin provides strategic advice to both public and private employers on a wide array of employment matters, including personnel management to compliance with state and federal employment laws, including discrimination laws, wage disputes, medical leave laws; the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.  

Kristin also advises clients on employee handbooks and employment policies related to harassment, wage and hour issues, workplace violence, privacy concerns, discipline and termination and conducts harassment and other workplace investigations.

Prior to attending law school, Kristin worked at a family law firm where she handled diverse family law matters including dissolution, child custody, domestic violence restraining orders, and spousal support.  While attending Rutgers School of Law, Kristin externed for the Federal Court of International Trade, where she gained hands-on experience with 9th Circuit cases, federal court procedures, and appellate litigation.  Additionally, Kristin was a Clinical Law Student for Rutgers’s Education and Health Law Clinic where she provided legal support in cases involving education rights and special education advocacy.  

Outside of her legal practice, Kristin enjoys creating stained glass art, traveling, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
