Pedro Alfonso
Pedro Alfonso is an associate in the Municipal Law practice of Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK), where he focuses his legal practice on representing real estate borrowers, sellers and buyers as well as developers, owners and property managers in complex transactions around the country.
Prior to joining BBK, Pedro was an associate with law firms in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, where he gained significant experience with drafting and negotiating loan documents, purchase and sale agreements and conducting due diligence on potential deals. Pedro has advised on state and local real estate- and land use-related issues, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Density Bonus Law, and AB 721. Additionally, Pedro has guided clients in transactions with federally financed and subsidized multifamily properties and housing portfolios ranging from $5 million to $250 million.
While in law school, Pedro served as vice president of the Howard University School of Law Student Bar Association. When not working, he loves cooking Cuban food and is an aviation enthusiast.
