Stephanie Véniez

Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) Associate Stephanie Véniez is a member of the firm’s Special Districts practice, where she advises her agency, district and local government clients on compliance 
with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. 

Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie built her legal career with a San Bernardino-based firm as a public defender and advocate for disabled clients and their families. As a public defender, she represented parents, children and legal guardians in all stages of dependency proceedings, from initial removal through post-permanency and adoption. As a disability rights advocate, Stephanie gained significant experience with special education law, due process hearings, individualized education program (IEP) rights, fair housing rights, in-home supportive services (IHSS), Medi-Cal programs, clients’ rights under the Lanterman Act, and equal access/community integration for people with disabilities.

Stephanie lives with her family in Redlands. Outside of the office, she enjoys desert landscaping and is working on a native plant garden in her backyard.
