BBK Receives Profiles in Diversity Journal 2022 Diversity Team Award
Award Recognizes the Teams Supporting DEI Initiatives
Profiles in Diversity Journal has named Best Best & Krieger as one of only two law firm recipients of the publication’s third annual Diversity Team Award. The award celebrates the talented and dedicated team members who work together to support and advance diversity, inclusion and equity within their respective organizations. The award also celebrates the inclusivity that diverse individuals, working together as members of a team, represent.
BBK was specifically honored for 2022 inclusion initiatives, strong annual industry diversity rankings, and efforts to recruit and mentor among diverse student populations. BBK’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, spearheaded by partners Sonia Carvalho, Mrunal Shah, Alisha Winterswyk and Chief Talent Officer Danielle Sakai, has facilitated ongoing opportunities for BBK attorneys and staff to learn, champion and candidly discuss relevant DEI topics.
“We’re delighted to acknowledge the successes and contributions of the diversity teams that have been awarded this recognition, and the organizations that create and support such teams,” Profiles in Diversity Journal Publisher James Rector said. “Research shows that diverse teams are more innovative and produce superior results. And we believe that recognizing the achievements of these teams is an important next step in the growth and evolution of diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace.”
