BBK Ranks Third for Minority Representation Among Equity Partners on Law360’s 2024 Diversity Snapshot
Firm Maintains Top 10 Overall in the Mid-Sized Category
Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) held on to its top three ranking for minority representation among equity partners in the mid-sized or “101 to 250 attorneys” category on Law360’s 2024 Diversity Snapshot. At BBK, minorities made up nearly 29% of its equity partners, more than double the national representation rate of 13.2% at other firms surveyed by Law360.
Additionally, BBK maintained its overall top 10 ranking in the mid-size category, coming in at No. 8 with a “pipeline score” of 3.9. The pipeline score breaks down each firm’s headcount by race and ethnicity. BBK has consecutively earned a position among the top 10 on the annual Diversity Snapshot for several years.
BBK’s Chief Talent Officer Danielle Sakai is thrilled by the firm’s progress, and understands more work is necessary to grow and maintain a diverse talent pool. She states, “Diversity is key to BBK. By cultivating talent, increasing representation and amplifying voices of underrepresented groups, we’re making BBK the place for diverse attorneys to grow their practices and find a home for their legal careers.”
The Diversity Snapshot is one in a collection of annual reports published by Law360 highlighting information from the annual Law Firm Survey. The Diversity Snapshot assesses how diversity at U.S.-based law firms compares relative to the potential marketplace of new hires.
Law360 also annually publishes a list of the largest U.S. law firms, the Law360 400, based on results from its Law Firm Survey. BBK was ranked No. 200 on the 2024 Law360 400 list, a three-spot improvement on last year’s ranking.
