Brittany Weidner is an associate at Best Best & Krieger LLP, where her practice focuses on telecommunications law. She works closely with local governments and public agencies advising on regulatory and transactional matters involving broadband and fiber networks, cable and telecom franchising, leases and licenses, and wireless communication facilities. Brittany’s practice regularly involves drafting and negotiating wireless facility leases and licenses and cable and telecommunication franchises and renewals. She provides guidance on compliance with federal and state wireless siting laws, FCC and CA shot clocks and other regulations affecting individual permit applications. Brittany also assists clients with state and federal regulations and reporting requirements applicable to providers of broadband, cable, voice over IP and other communications services. She has experience drafting revising local codes, applications and processes governing wireless facilities siting and right of way permitting and communications services subscriber agreements and related policies.

Prior to joining BBK, Brittany was an associate at Austin Legal Group, APC, where her practice primarily focused on California commercial cannabis law and land use entitlement matters. She advised and represented private cannabis entities on a broad range of regulatory compliance matters and obtained complex cannabis land use approvals through traditional land use application processes and highly-competitive, merit-based licensing application processes.

In law school, Brittany was a part of Duquesne’s Urban Development Law Practicum where she provided a broad range of real estate and economic development legal assistance to distressed communities in the greater Pittsburgh area. She was also an extern for Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services, a nonprofit law firm that prioritizes representing traditionally underserved clients directly affected by environmental harms.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys watching the San Diego Padres, golfing, stand-up comedy, and spending time her husband and family.
