Holland Stewart is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP's Special Districts practice group. He assists a variety of public and private clients with all aspects of their business and environmental matters. Holland has experience litigating numerous corporate, eminent domain and environmental cases, including groundwater issues under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, charter school financial reporting for the Riverside County Office of Education, and railroad and Native American land use questions for the Coachella Valley Association of Governments.

Holland has a firm understanding of how to navigate business and land disputes in the best interests of his clients. He currently serves as general counsel to the Water Facilities Authority and deputy general counsel to Western Municipal Water District, Desert Water Agency, Jurupa Community Services District, Arrowhead Lake Association, Crestline-Lake Arrowhead Water Agency, and San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency.

Holland joined BBK as a summer associate in 2016 and then again as an associate after graduation. He is involved in the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association, which named him “Attorney of the Year” in 2019 and the “Lawyer Who Leads By Example” in 2021. Holland graduated from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, where he was the notes and comments editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. During law school, Holland served as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, in Washington, D.C., and also worked on a farm in Conyers, Georgia.

In his spare time, Holland enjoys golfing, playing basketball and hiking with his dogs, Daisy and Rosie.
