BB&K Municipal Law Attorney Todd Leishman Appointed Indian Wells City Attorney
Brings Housing, Litigation, Real Estate and Public Law Experience to the Role
Best Best & Krieger LLP Of Counsel Todd Leishman was appointed city attorney for the City of Indian Wells, the City announced last week. The veteran public law attorney, who has emerged as a leading authority on California housing law, also has experience in environmental law and real estate and handles both litigation and transactional law.
“With each public and private client that I have served, I’m driven to find common ground and hidden value in every project so that it may successfully come to fruition, all while defending their rights,” Todd said in a statement, as reported by KESQ News Channel 13. “I value being a part of this process and I look forward to doing this for the City of Indian Wells.”
Todd is replacing BB&K Partner Jeffrey Ballinger, who served as Indian Wells’ city attorney for two years. Previously, Partner Stephen Deitsch served as city attorney for 15 years. BB&K is proud of its long history serving Indian Wells, having first served as the City as legal counsel in 1993.
“We are happy to have Todd join the Indian Wells team. His esteemed career and strong skill set will make him a valuable asset to the City so that we may continue to provide a high quality of life for our residents,” City Manager Chris Freeland said.
