Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) Of Counsel Frank Ahn, a member of the firm’s Municipal Law practice and Advanced Records Center, recently joined the board of directors for Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego (PALSD). PALSD’s mission is to “develop leaders, educate the community, and empower Asian Pacific American (APA) professionals.” He will also serve as the chair of PALSD’s Program Committee and co-chair of the Mentorship Committee. Ahn has dedicated the majority of his career to public service, including a significant amount of time as a supervising attorney, writ attorney, and staff attorney with Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers (LADL). While with LADL, he co-founded the Community Awareness Project (COAP) to raise public awareness about child welfare issues and promote collaboration between different stakeholders in the dependency system such as training Los Angeles County Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers. Ahn also co-founded the Los Angeles Parent Hopeline, which provides critical guidance to parents and family members navigating the child welfare investigation process.
Ahn noted, “I am thrilled to join PALSD’s talented board and look forward to collaborating on efforts to support the next generation of APA legal professionals.”
