The 2025 guide recognizes attorneys who are considered the best litigators in the U.S. from antitrust, intellectual property, corporate governance, class action and complex civil litigation.
Scott Ditfurth, a partner in BBK’s Litigation Coordination Group was recognized in the guide for business litigation, public entity and real property law. He is a civil litigator with an emphasis on public entity defense litigation and real property-related disputes for both private and public clients. Ditfurth’s practice broadly encompasses all aspects and stages of litigation for clients in a variety of settings. He practices in both state and federal court. Specifically, his litigation practice encompasses public entity defense, real property disputes, land use claims and writs, inverse condemnation, easement disputes, eminent domain, contract claims, and construction claims.
Partner Chris Pisano and member of the firm’s Litigation Coordination Group was recognized for public agency litigation for land use by Lawdragon. He represents public agencies and private corporations in a variety of litigation matters, including land use, property valuation, water rights, healthcare litigation, unfair competition, inverse condemnation, construction, civil rights, and general business disputes. Pisano has represented numerous public agencies in state and federal court matters.
Partner A. Patricia Ursea was recognized in the guide for public agency litigation and is the leader of the firm’s Litigation Coordination Group. She has 23 years of litigation experience, eight of which she spent exclusively serving public agency clients both in-house and as outside counsel, with a specific focus on constitutional torts involving free speech, searches and seizures and due process, class actions and writs of mandamus. Her background in serving private clients on business matters, including insurance coverage defense, mass torts, antitrust and healthcare.
